Representatives of the Fleet Trust Board again met with Carlos on Monday last (29 April 2013) to discuss his proposals in more detail.
It is hoped that Carlos can provide more information, in the form of a documented business case, by the end of the week in support of his plans.
In the meantime, the Trust is pleased that we have been able to channel £3,000 in funds to the club to allow an initial payment to be made to HMRC. The support all Fleet fans and others, including some from the wider football community, is much appreciated. We understand that negotiations with HMRC and other creditors are on-going, and would urge everyone to continue to support the club with donations at this time.
The Trust will continue to take a considered view of any potentially viable proposal that may secure the future of the club, and will meet with all interested parties as appropriate in order to progress the situation. A further update will be provided at the earliest opportunity.
