Fleet Trust Update

Update from Fleet Trust Chairman Graham McQueen

Hi Fleet Fans,

I would like to take this opportunity to say a big thank you to everyone who recently joined The Fleet Trust. The membership drive in January resulted in a 69 percent increase in memembers which is a fantastic achievement. This includes a community leader, the deputy Mayor, Councillor Lyn Milner who joined when she attended the FA Trophy game against Chester as a guest of the Trust.

This is mjust the start of a longer term aim to get each and everyone of you signed up to the Trust as the more members we have, the bigger sway we have with the football club. The trust works to provide a voice for local fans and to create community links for the benefit of the club.

A lot of you ask, why join the Trust? So here are somethings you should know about us:
  • All monies raised by the Trust go to the club.
  • Marketing of games is carried out by the Trust's BOSS members who display posters in local business.
  • Through the Players Fund the Trust has raised over £11,000 in donations which are going directly to the player's wages.
  • Bucket collections at the ground are run by the Trust to raise money for the day to day running of the club.
  • All maintenance of the club is carried out or arranged by the Trust - currently trying to raise money to repair the stand roof, new wall built during the summer with labour donated for free thanks to Trust contacts.
  • All Trust volunteers work for free to run the club shop, man the tannoy, run the Golden Goal competition and arrange away travel.
  • Through the trust, supporters have the use of the Ebbsfleet station car park on matchdays.
  • The Trust raises awareness of the club at community events - the Big Day Out, Trophy Tour.
You can join the trust at any match in the club shop or online at here and Trust volunteers will be back at the turnstiles for the Kettering game on Saturday March 24th so "bring an extra tenner and join the Trust". The Trust exists for fans and gives you the change to get involved with the club. We are always in need of volunteers and fresh ideas so if you'd like to get involved email Emily - [email protected]

Prize Draw Result
I am delighted to announce that the winners of the recent prize draw are:

Chris Norton from Hornchurch - Signed Shirt
Wendy Day from Gravesend - Signed Ball
Dermot Duffy from Calgary - Signed Photo

Trust meeting and chance to hear Liam's vision for the future
We are currently arranging a Trust meeting to discuss the way forward for the Trust and how best we can help the club. I am pleased to announce that Liam has agreed to join us for the part of the meeting to give us his vision for the future. The meeting will be open to TRUST MEMBERS ONLY so get yourselves signed up at the Kettering game so you can come along and join us.

Finally - a special thank you
I would like to say a special thank you to 2 of our members Steve East and Alan Mitchell who have given up a huge amount of their time this season travelling around Gravesend on the Trophy Tour, handing out leaflets on matchdays and making sure you all part with your cash as you leave the ground after each game. Their hard work is greatly appreciated by everyone at the Trust and club.

Remember the Trust exists for the benefit of the club but we're only as good as our members. The club desperately needs our support at the moment so show it by paying just £10 and signing up now!
